Booking arrangements

Placing a booking

Places on all of Journeys courses can be booked through our online shop.  Our shop offers a secure card handling facility.  Once a card payment has been made, your place on the course is secured.  You will be sent joining instructions closer to the date of the course.

The shop also offers an option to pay by cheque - you will need to print out the form and post it to us with your cheque.  Your place on the course will only be secured once Journeys has received your cheque.  If you want Journeys to invoice your organisation, please give your organisation's details on the booking form and mail it to us.  Again, your place will only be reserved once Journeys has received the form.

Journeys courses run by or for third parties

Some of Journeys courses are run by or for third parties.  These courses are often paid for by the third party on behalf of a particular group in the population (for example, economically inactive people or people living in a particular area).  In most cases, places on these courses cannot be booked directly through Journeys.  Where possible, we have included links to the website or email address of the organisation handling bookings for these courses.  If, however, you are unable to make contact, you can email Journeys for further information.

Third party courses

Journeys sometimes promotes courses run by other organisations where we believe that these courses could be of benefit to people affected by depression or their carers.  These courses are entirely independent of Journeys, and only appear on our website for information.  As such, you must contact the course organiser directly for further information.

Cancellation and Refunds Policy

We understand that circumstances can change.  However, if you do not let Journeys know in good time if you are unable to attend a course, we may keep a proportion of your fee to cover our costs.  Moreover, if you cancel at the last minute, you may forfeit the full cost of the place.

Depression Busting courses

You will be given a full refund if you cancel more than 14 days before the course starts.  If you cancel after this time, you will be charged a £50 administration fee.  You will, however, be able to use this as a deposit on a future course.

MHFA courses

Cancellation up to 7 days before the course will result in our retaining a 30% administration fee.  Cancellation within 7 days will result in your forfeiting the entire course fee.  You will, however, be able to take up a free place on a future course.  Alternatively, if your organisation is paying for you to attend, they may send a substitute in your place.
